Our Management Team

Matt Curtis
General Manager
"Our goal is to help councils meet their waste and sustainability targets in a way that delivers real value to the community. At RRA, we combine practical experience with a people-first approach to create services that reduce landfill, support local jobs and strengthen the circular economy."
Matt Curtis brings strong operational and financial expertise to his role as General Manager of Resource Recovery Australia, along with a deep understanding of the communities we serve.
Since becoming General Manager in 2019, Matt has overseen RRA's national operations and played a key role in growing the organisation. He has led the expansion into Queensland and the NT, delivering major contracts in Gladstone, Noosa, Toowoomba and regional New South Wales. Under his leadership, RRA continues to meet the needs of council partners while creating local jobs and supporting reuse in the communities where we work.
Matt's journey with RRA began in 2005 as a trainee. Over the years, he has worked across almost every part of the business, gaining experience in operations, logistics, finance, site management and stakeholder engagement.
Today, Matt brings nearly two decades of experience to his role, combining operational expertise with a sharp focus on outcomes. His approach is practical, people-focused and purpose-driven. He is a strong advocate for the power of social enterprise to create real change, and is passionate about building high-performing teams, streamlined systems and community-centred services that protect the environment and support local people.

Ally Glendenning
Deputy General Manager
"Reuse is about more than keeping things out of landfill or sending items off for recycling. It's about creating spaces that welcome people in, spark new ideas, and show the true value of second-hand goods. I love working with councils and communities to increase reuse and help people see the potential in what others might throw away."
Ally Glendenning brings creativity, leadership and deep industry knowledge to her role as Deputy General Manager at Resource Recovery Australia.
With a background in retail, interior design and business ownership, Ally has become a leading force in reuse and waste diversion across the country. She has played a key role in the design and setup of Reviva Reuse Shops, helping shape how reuse shops look, feel and operate. Her work has set a standard that is now recognised by councils, contractors and environmental authorities throughout Australia.
Ally is known for creating welcoming, efficient spaces that inspire local communities and make the most of every square metre. Her vision supports high levels of resource recovery and reuse while creating strong social and environmental outcomes. She has led waste consulting projects and Reuse Shop set ups across urban, city and rural locations.
At RRA, Ally delivers more than a decade of experience in waste management to deliver high-impact services and leads teams with purpose. She is passionate about turning waste into opportunity and continues to drive positive change through practical, creative solutions that engage the community and drive desired outcomes for councils.

Jarrod Roskell
NSW State Manager
"Every day I consider myself lucky to work with an amazing group of people plus mentors Matthew and Ally, and to be part of the RRA family."
With hands-on experience leading waste recovery operations across regional and metropolitan New South Wales, Jarrod Roskell has spent more than 12 years working alongside local councils to improve landfill diversion and support the circular economy.
Jarrod has played a key role in delivering community recycling centres, transfer station upgrades and reuse shops — most notably in partnership with MidCoast and Shellharbour Councils. He brings a strong background in operational planning, compliance and team development, and provides guidance across NSW sites on tendering, feasibility and service delivery.
He holds qualifications in Leadership and Management, Work Health and Safety, and Asset Maintenance (Waste Management), as well as training in emergency response and equipment operation.
What drives him is knowing that every day, RRA makes a positive impact on the environment, the people we employ, and the communities we serve.

Jeff Prater

"For me, building a circular economy is about more than recycling. It is about people. When we connect with communities, we create opportunities, reduce waste and build lasting change together. That is what makes this work so rewarding."
Jeff Prater brings more than a decade of senior leadership experience in manufacturing and warehousing to his role as Queensland Manager at Resource Recovery Australia. Since transitioning to the not-for-profit and waste sectors in 2018, Jeff has combined his operational expertise with a strong commitment to community building and environmental sustainability.

Since stepping into the Queensland Manager role in 2021, Jeff has led RRA's successful expansion into Rockhampton and Moreton Bay. He provides hands-on support, mentoring and training to site teams, helping to build capacity, ensure safety, and maximise reuse and recycling outcomes.
