Resource Recovery Australia is a national social enterprise that works in waste management to keep waste out of landfill, create jobs for people experiencing barriers to work, and to engage and connect people in our communities.
WHAT WE DO
Last financial year we helped divert over 7,600 tonnes of waste from landfill for reuse and recycling. We employed 143 people to do this.
Resource Recovery Australia (RRA) is a social enterprise: a different kind of business
Resource Recovery Australia is a national not-for-profit social enterprise. We work with local Councils and communities to:
– Keep waste out of landfill – Create stable and meaningful jobs for people experiencing barriers to work (75% of our workforce) – Engage and connect people in the communities in which we work
Community Resources: jobs that care for people and planet
Resource Recovery Australia is part of Community Resources. Community Resources employs more than 500 people across Australia in jobs that care for people and planet, keeping waste out of landfill, growing and distributing fair food, and providing community service to those who need it most. Resource Recovery Australia is one of its three social enterprises.
In 2021, Resource Recovery Australia celebrates 30 years of operation
