The Reviva Reuse Competition is back for 2026, and we’re inviting the community to showcase how they’ve repaired, repurposed or transformed unwanted items into something useful, beautiful or completely unexpected.

Whether you’ve restored a piece of furniture, created artwork from salvaged materials, repaired a household item, built something for the garden or given an old item a new purpose, we’d love to see your creation.

Now in its seventh year, the competition celebrates the creativity, resourcefulness and practical skills found in communities across Australia. Every entry helps demonstrate how reuse, repair and repurposing can keep valuable materials in circulation and reduce waste sent to landfill.

Anyone can enter

One of the great things about the Reviva Reuse Competition is that your project doesn’t need to be large, complicated or professionally made.

A simple repair, furniture makeover, garden project or clever reuse idea can be just as inspiring as a major transformation. The competition is about sharing ideas and encouraging others to see the value in reuse.

This year’s competition includes:

• National Grand Prize: $300 Visa Gift Card
• Local Community Winners: $200 Visa Gift Cards

Entries are free and open to all Australian residents.

How to enter

Entering is easy:

1. Take a photo of your reuse, repair or repurposing project.
2. Tell us a little about what you created and the materials you used.
3. Submit your entry online.

Entries close at midnight AEDST on Sunday, 15 November 2026.

Every year we are amazed by the creativity of our communities.

Past entries have included furniture makeovers, mosaic artworks, clothing transformations, garden creations, sculptures and practical household items made from salvaged materials. From simple repairs to ambitious upcycling projects, every entry helps inspire others to think differently about waste and discover the potential in items that might otherwise be discarded.
