Seymour FM – Ally Glendenning talking about RRA, Reviva Reuse Shops
RRA In the News - Seymour FM
Resource Recovery Australia’s Deputy General Manager Ally Glendenning recently joined Seymour FM to talk about the opening of Reviva Reuse Shops in Wallan and Seymour, and how these spaces are delivering real environmental and social impact in the local community.

"Reviva Reuse Shops play an important role in keeping valuable items out of landfill, creating local jobs, and building stronger communities through practical action" says Ally.

Reviva Reuse Shops On Air | Supporting Community and Reuse in Wallan and Seymour
Through our partnership with Mitchell Shire Council, the Reviva Reuse Shops at Wallan and Seymour are making it easier for residents to shop sustainably, donate quality items, and keep resources in circulation rather than sending them to landfill.
The shops offer an ever-changing range of pre-loved goods, from furniture and homewares to tools and garden equipment, giving items a second life within the community.
Beyond the environmental benefits, the project is also creating meaningful local impact.
Through Resource Recovery Australia’s #WASTE2WAGES model, the shops provide employment and training opportunities for people facing barriers to work, supporting pathways into long-term employment and building confidence and skills.
As Ally shared in the interview, this work is about more than reuse — it’s about supporting people, strengthening communities and delivering real outcomes at a local level.
