Resource Recovery Australia is part of Community Resources Limited – a National Organisation that runs some of the largest social enterprises in Australia and delivers community services. We employed 650 people last year, 79% of them experiencing barriers to employment.

We keep waste out of landfill, we grow and distribute fair food, and we provide community service to those who need it most.

About the Role

The purpose of the Team Leader is to:

Display positive representations of RRA and its contracted partners. The position contributes to the delivery of efficient operations for site, customers and partners.

What’s needed for the role

  • Have a hands-on approach that supports the team in their daily tasks, offering leadership, training and guidance to ensure duties are fulfilled.
  • Reliable, with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Sound communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to understand and adhere to council and contractual obligations.
  • Highly motivated and a willingness to learn.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Experience using computers and learning new technology.
  • Organisation skills with the ability to remain calm in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Sound understanding and application of waste management regulations and best practice.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Work, Health and Safety practices.
  • Willingness and ability to be a positive people leader and role model for direct reports.
  • Willingness to behave in accordance with the organisational values.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

WHAT WE DO:

Last financial year we helped divert 9,270 tonnes of waste from landfill for reuse and recycling. We employed 183 people, 75% of whom were experiencing barriers when joining.
