SERVICES : Workshops and Training
At Resource Recovery Australia we run a range of community workshops to engage with the local communities we work in.

Our workshops bring people together from across the community to turn trash into treasure, developing their creative capacity as well as doing a great service to the environment.

THE GREEN

The Green is located at our Tuncurry Community Recycling Centre site, home of the Green Community Garden, Green Bikes and the Reviva Tuncurry reuse shop. The Green Community Garden is open most Wednesday’s where everyone is welcome to visit and explore. Be sure to follow the Resource Recovery MidCoast Facebook page for the latest workshops!

*The Green workshops and garden are currently closed for redevelopment.*
We look forward to welcoming the community to the new, purpose-built facility in 2024. Green Bikes continues to operate as normal throughout the redevelopment.

The Green Bikes Program involves a group of volunteer mentors who love all things biking. Volunteers teach young people from local schools and community programs how to restore and repair bikes. To find out more and get involved, contact us.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
We offer community engagement opportunities at the Tinkerage and The Green (including the Community Garden, and Green Bikes Program).

Volunteering opportunities are available across all Resource Recovery Australia sites; opportunities include Bikes4Life (Moss Vale), Green Bikes (Tuncurry), and The Green Community Garden (Tuncurry).

Our Noosa, MidCoast and Dunmore sites participate in the Community Service Order (CSO) Offenders program, co-ordinated by the NSW Department of Corrective Services and Queensland Department of Justice; and we are an approved sponsor organisation for Work Development Orders with NSW State Debt Recovery.

If you are eligible for either of these programs and would like to spend some time with us, please get in touch.
