Resource Recovery Australia is a not-for-profit social enterprise and is a part of registered charity Community Resources. We partner with Councils and community groups to improve our local environment, provide employment opportunities for people experiencing barriers to work and to connect our community. 
Our positive impact on our community and environment is amplified by our kind and committed volunteers.

We are hosts for work for the dole, work development and community service orders.

Volunteering with Resource Recovery Australia is flexible, we welcome volunteers for a couple of hours a month to several hours per week.

Community Engagement

Are you keen to meet some new people? Do you sometimes get a little bit lonely at home? Join the Resource Recovery Australia team to be a part of the broader community. Meet new people and become a part of our RRA family by volunteering with us. 

 

Retail Operations

Do you have a passion for interior design? Do you enjoy styling, cleaning and sorting? You can join us to help keep our Reviva reuse shops in tip top shape. Learn about merchandising or use your skills to help our social purpose

Do you love to repair broken items? Are you a hands on and love to creatively reuse? We’re looking for skilled and passionate individuals to help us repair items ready for resale. You can join us to help keep quality items out of landfill and help us create a circular economy.

Skills development

Volunteering with Resource Recovery Australia can help you build skills and learn something new. Our unique focus on reuse, waste diversion and a positive in-store experience for customers helps our team and volunteers alike to build transferrable skills.

WHAT WE DO:

Last financial year we helped divert 11,965 tonnes of waste from landfill for reuse and recycling. We employed 196 people, over 75% of whom were experiencing barriers when joining.
